Reunion Alert: Picnic Now at Dune Peninsula

Hello Wilson ’65 Alumni,

We have an important update about our third reunion event, the After Party Picnic originally planned for Owen Beach. Due to temporary construction and maintenance at Owen Beach, the picnic is moving to the nearby Dune Peninsula Pavilion in Point Defiance Park. Everything else, date, time, relaxed atmosphere, remains the same!

Here’s what you need to know:

  • New Location: Dune Peninsula Pavilion at Point Defiance Park (very close to the Tacoma Yacht Club)
  • Date & Time: Thursday, August 28, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm
  • What to Bring: Sack lunch/picnic food (we’ll provide cold beverages, as always)

About Dune Peninsula:

The spot is just as scenic, surrounded by water, with beautiful views of Mt. Rainier, and a lovely mix of well-maintained grassy areas and plenty of picnic tables (no need to sit on the ground unless you want to! Bring a blanket!). There are ample walking paths, and several parking lots close by. This area is sometimes also called the “Playground in Point Defiance Park.”

For more details and directions, you can check out the Tacoma Parks Dune Peninsula web page.

We think you’ll really enjoy this beautiful new spot. We look forward to gathering, relaxing, catching up, and making even more memories together.

Questions? Email us at wilson65reunion@gmail.com, or call/text Rick Herrmann at 253-820-2202.

See you for our big reunion week! This could be the last time!

60th Reunion - Tickets are On Sale

Where Memories Meet & Friends Reunite
Wilson Class of '65 Celebrates 60 Years

The bonds of friendship forged in the halls of Wilson High School have only grown stronger over six remarkable decades. On August 27th at the elegant Tacoma Yacht Club, we'll gather once again to celebrate the enduring spirit of the Class of '65. Just like the iconic tune that defined an era, we're "Happy Together" whenever we meet - sharing stories, laughter, and the timeless connections that make our class so special. From the moment we step into the room, the years melt away and the conversations flow as freely as they did in our high school days. Don't miss this milestone celebration where every minute brings a new memory and every familiar face brightens the room.

We will have 3 events for this significant reunion: an informal gathering on August 26 at 7 Seas Brewing, then the main event the next day at the Tacoma Yacht Club, then a final chance to get together and chat at the After Party Picnic, August 28 at Dune Peninsula Pavilion in Point Defiance Park.

Looking forward to seeing each and every one of you at the Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1965 60th Reunion. It's going to be a joyous event and our celebration wouldn't be complete without you there!
