Bonnie Ione Anderson passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2018. She was a smart, artistic and quiet girl at Wilson. She was a member of the Cadymettes Girls Drill Team and Wiona Girls Sports Organizatio, which recognized girls' athletic skills and sought to inspire interest in physical fitness (which was one of JFK's priorities). Bonnie was one of 27 girls who met the requirements to participate in those groups. They performed at Grid-Go-Round, at football and basketball games during halftime and at the Daffodil Parade. Requirements to win her athletic letter were to participate in three team sports, one hobby sport, one optional sport and at least 5 organized hikes. She successfully accomplished all these and graduated with honors.
After graduating from Wilson she received her BA from the University of Puget Sound in 1969.
