One of our Wilson 65' Alumni has passed away, Thomas Newman. A true Tacoma native, he was born in Tacoma and lived here all his life. His twin brother John Newman was also in our class.
As a Wilson student, Tom loved fishing and working on his cars down at Owen's Beach in Pt. Defiance. After graduation, Tom served in Vietnam as did his brother. He continued fishing and boating throughout his life and was a member of the Tacoma Yacht Club. Tom's passion for working on his own cars led him to enjoy rebuilding vintage cars all his life.
